(Of course, you don't need an e-mail address to post on a blog ...). I don't suspect Mr. Hatch actually is a techno-phobe, I think he's too sharp a political strategist to suffer under that kind of handicap.Mark Cohen, editorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10119858489884538496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9203481901177661359.post-12235171311163152822008-05-29T13:23:00.000-05:002008-05-29T13:23:00.000-05:00The reason state officials like Mike Hatch and Tim...The reason state officials like Mike Hatch and Tim Pawlenty don't use e-mail isn't because they're afraid of technology. They reason is they're afraid reporters will get their hands on it through data practices requests.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9203481901177661359.post-5608286912571155152008-05-29T10:14:00.000-05:002008-05-29T10:14:00.000-05:00I was pretty impressed but not surprised by Hatch'...I was pretty impressed but not surprised by Hatch's ignorance in his statement.

It was particularly humorous to me too because MinnPost has tried so darn hard to not be labeled as a "blog" or having "blogs" by saying they're more "professional journalists," as if professional journalists can't be bloggers too (like Eric Black). In fact, MinnPost goes out of their way to call their columnists' blogs "Current Posts" and seem to refuse to have them called blogs.

Then Mike Hatch refuses an interview with someone who has written for the Star Tribune for thirty years that writes for an online media publication run by the former publisher of the Star Tribune because he thinks it's a "blog."

A whole lot of funny yesterday. Can't wait for Eric Black's second installment.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17606468418521640043noreply@blogger.com
